configurable roller chain mating

I need to build a roller-chain drive system with variable sizes for the sprockets and chain. I've got the part models (actually I could use a better link model than what I have, if anyone has a good one, but that's not the main issue). I just need advice on the best (and most efficient) way to build the assembly so that the chain is always mated properly and shows the appropriate number of links for the size of sprockets used. I've got ideas, but I'm not happy with the time any of my ideas will take. Any suggestions? Charley Leonard

Well from a 10,000 foot view here I would imagine that formulas are going to be the way to accomplish this but you are going to need to define variables to drive both the number of instances of the links, and center to center distance of the sprockets. I need to know a little more about what you are doing though because there are a few pitfalls in here with assembly mating. Regards,
