Does anybody know where I can source some transparent conductive film. I am told there is gold and platinum film commercially available but I have had no luck finding it as yet. I need several sheets A4 size for an experiment.
email me at patch@bigpond.net.au
Thanks

How transparent? Gold with something like 80% transmission is something like 150 angstroms thick, which is why you won't find it in sheets. Ditto for just about any semi-transparent metal.

There are some electrostatic protection bags that are aluminized and are somewhat transparent.

I'll go the other direction... how conductive?

Look for touch-sensitive resistive overlays for LCD. Pretty clear (what, like 95%?), but resistance is generally several hundred ohms from one corner to the other.

Indium Tin Oxide is the film of choice for LCD shielding.

If you are interested in voltade/current distribution
modeling, you can use blotter paper soaked in electrolite
with AC.
