I am undergoing project work in condenser.Actually the poblem is during summer the inlet temp. to condenser shoots up by 5C so the efficiency of condenser decreases ,is there any ways to increase the effi or to
cool the inlet temp.

Please, give more data/details concerning your problem.
For instance: - describe the condenser type, and
the work (nominal) conditions;
- describe the installation, (if you
don't mind!);
- all work temperatures, at the condenser;
- what does the condenser in the installation?
- anything else, you think important.

Sar1281, there are a few solutions I can offer based upon my experience with Marine (ie. Shipboard) condensers.

1:Locate your intakes lower in the water, temperature drops the deeper you go.

2:Increase cooling flow through the condenser, this will lower your outlet temp, and therefore the average temperature.

I don't believe #1 is very practical (Unless you are on a Submarine ), and #2 would require some balance to make up for the increased work of the pumps, but would tend to reduce tube fouling.

Perhaps a good HydroLancing, or chemical cleaning of the condenser tubes before the Summer.

Overall the Second Law of Thermodynamics restricts ones options.
