My husband and I moved up from Florida and bought a house that was built in 1928. The furnace is from 1997 and is gas. It also has an april aire system for humidification. This is our first winter with it and we have just started running it.
There is a hose running from the april aire and from the gas vent piping that drains into our floor drain in the basement. I am confused because we don't have the april aire on currently but there is a steady dripping of water coming from the hose. Is there some sort of condensate from the gas vent piping?
I just don't know much about gas furnaces and/or the april aire system and was hoping someone here might.
