Concrete Retaining Wall

I have to design concrete retaining walls for landscaping, wall height 10' from T.O Wall to U/S of slab. Wall height above finish grade will be about 5' to 6'
The neighboring property is already built and has existing retaining walls and/or landscaping.
How close (dimension) can I show the concrete wall to the property line, so that the contractor can build the wall without problems?
The consideration here is excavation and formwork for the concrete wall, which are affected by the existing neighboring property.

You can build the wall and footing right up to the property line without legal issues HOWEVER you need permission from the neighbor for any excavation into his property.

Which property is higher? Do you have a section you can share?

what type of soil? how close to a structure or utility line? water table? How deep is the trench for the footing?

The proximity of the structure to the wall is of paramount importance here, particularly when it comes to surcharge loads ro the wall from the foundation of the structure. If ithe distgance is ten feet or greater, the problems could be minimal, but as good sketch would help matters here.

Your overall wall height of 10 feet with respect to the retained earth height of 5 to 6 feet seems high here. Do you have a deep frost depth or a need for a catchment wall?
