I have to design a pile cap under hot tank which permanent operating temperature is 90 degree celcius. I have suggested putting an insulated layer , using celular concrete to isolate the pile cap and tank bottom but the owner is keen to know if the hot tank can be directly put on concrete. The cellular concrete the manufacturer propose is about 400-500mm thick to reduce the temperature to 35 degree, which may be costly.
At 90 degree, will concrete crack be concerned? also, any effect to structural reinforcing steel strength at 80-90 degree.
Any reference I can look at for therman design of concrete to convince the owner or if possible, design for this elevated temperture of the plie cap.
Any recommendation?
Earthen or gravel pad is not applicable for tank foundation here sicne there will be 5m of fill under tank foundation and the project propose using pile to reduce the settlement.

This is within the range of usable temperatures for reinforced concrete.
