First off - hope all, who celebrate, had a fantastic Christmas . . . and all others had a great few days off . . . We eat at a Chinese canteen on site (non-halal - so they serve pork) all year long. While we do pay for the food, the staff is always quite friendly (4 of them) . . . so for Christmas, the other expat still on site and myself made Christmas dinner for them - as a way to thank them. Made roast beef, mashed spuds, honey glazed carrots, gravy and chili-con-carne . . . wondering if they would like "western" food - well, it was all devoured. Had a few of the Contractor's staff who we deal with all the time there as well . . . a nice time - especially since my wife is in Bali soaking up the sun (actually it is raining about every day there and my daughter who studies in Bali is in Germany with her "man" . . .
Now for the question - - - concrete cover on form tie-rods. If the spec/drwg says to have 100 mm cover in water passages, then it is my position that 100 mm cover is required for the tie-rods, too (after removal of the tie-rod cone). Others argue that the full cover isn't necessary. Just wondering what my colleagues think . . .
With kind regards and hoping y'all have a fantastic New Year (and can keep to your resoluations), BigH![[cheers] [cheers] [cheers]](/data/assets/smilies/cheers.gif)
