Looking at determining system pressure after failure of isolation of discharge pressure to suction piping(lower pressure rating). The calculation requires finding the final pressure.
T final= H/(Cp*Total mass) - at settleout with combined suction and discharge masses and volumes
P final = (Total mass/MW * R * T *z)/V
The iteration requires assuming Z and Cp and solving for T. My question is what is the back check for the iteration? I think you use the Pressure result to then check against the assumed Cp. Or is P and T used to check against asssumed Z, or both?
