Hello Everyone ,

I would like to know how compressor capacity for pre action system is calculated and What are the regulation specified in NFPA while selecting a compressor for preaction system ? Is there is any time period mentioned to fill the pipe with air ?

no refill time in the 2010 edition, just able to maintain at least 7 psi

If I understand correctly, you just add up the volume of your piping system that is after the preaction valve and size your compressor based on that.

I apologize if I am misunderstanding your question.
