I need to do some simple estimates of gas leaks from a pipe. Is there any shareware that does compressible orifice calculations? I don't need anything fancy, just some basic equations.
Thanks.

see thread798-51260, or get a copy of the following technical paper on choked (critical) flow thru thick walled square edged orifices:

If you just need the equations, look in a copy of Crane technical paper 'flow of fluids through valves, fittings and pipe'. For compressible fluid, there's an expansion term for the gas that you have to look up in a table so I can't just give you a simple equation as for non-compressible fluids.
