Hi,

I wish to add a compressed spring force between two cylinder parts in my assembly, which will change linearly with the displacement along the x-axis. One of the parts is fixed and the other is connected to the rest of the assembly.

Alternatively, remove the fixed part and apply a force to the free part, which change with the displacement in x-direction.

Can this be done in NX 9.0 Advanced Simulation? Is there any other way to include a preloaded spring in the assembly?

Regards,
Jon Helge

Use a 1D connection, have a look at CELAS element types.
