Hi all,
I confused the data given in patran environment while assigning laminae making use of Pcomp cards. When i hit the show properties (like E's nu's G's and stiffness matrix) in the first column those properties ,for a lamina on xy plane, shown such that E11,22,33 My question is that what do these designations stand for? which direction is implied?
what i get from the patran for the folowing lamina as follows:

lamina properties: (this designation is for fiber direction and its transverse direction properties.)

E11:20e6
E22:2e6
G12:1e6
v12:0.35

In Pcom card this lamina is oriented 30 degree from the body coord axis (+30 from Coord0.1 -------->x )

and its appearent (i mean its properties at body coord
-------x)properties are given in patran environment as follows

stiffness matrix [Q]
1.25E+07 3.87E+06 5.77E+06
3.87E+06 3.42E+06 2.12E+06
5.77E+06 2.12E+06 4.16E+06

(it is ok i can find this matrix by hand calculation)

and those properties which i cannot get any sense (also cannot find by hand calculations) are given in the format as in patran GUI as follows:

??????
E11,22,33 nu12,23,13 G12,23,13

8.15e6 1.13 4.16e6
2.23e6 0 0
0 0 0

????

for which direction does patran give these properties here
Quest_1 : In its 1-2 material directions?
Quest_2 : In the body coord axes xy direction respectively?

From theory (maybe i use wrong equations ) i find

Appearent engineering constants for a lamina oriented +30 degree from the body coord axis x:

Ex 4.16E+06 (not eqaul to 8.15e6 ) ?
v_xy 3.97E-01 (not eqaul to 1.13 ) ?
Ey 2.15E+06 (not eqaul to 2.23e6 ) ?
G_xy 1.45E+06 (not eqaul to 4.16e6) ?

where am i wrong?
thanks in advance

Somewhat of a confusing post...

The 11, 22, 33 relate to the x,y and z directions.
And as follows: the 12 etc are the shears. It i sall made clear in the manuals
