Is there a way to open a drawing and change all the component line fonts to the standard? I have a multiple page drawing (4 pages) that is blowing up in file size and i need to figure out why. Thanks

Your line fonts are globally set in the template. You should, however, be able to open the drawing then go to Tools->options->Document Properties->Line Font and change that drawing's fonts there.

Understand that, however when we build an assembly we often have geometry that is a reference assembly and our design process requires that geometry to be phantom thin. Problem is that some people change the component line font for the reference parts from the tree and others like to select each part from the view and change them. Either method works but when problems arise it would be nice to start clean and change all back to default to understand were the blow-up is created from.

File size increase is usually attributed to the Windows "shadow" file system. Have you tried using Eco-Squeeze?

Downloaded and ran Eco-Squeeze on my drawing files and saved about 4% between 18 files. It helps, however i still have the problem of investigating problems. Reducing size is good but in the future would like to have a list or routine for individuals to do before they run over to my desk and complain that they can't open the files or check them into the PLM tool.
