Having purchased resin for our water system from a new supplier we found we had problems regenerating with our routine procedure. The response from the manufacturer when queried was that the resin had been poisoned with colloidal Silica.
1. this has never happened in the same system using previous resins,
2. I have never had it happen in any system I have been involved with.
3. a simple Google search has been unhelpful in finding any info.
Does anyone know of this problem, its causes, how to test to see if it is the problem, and how to correct the situation.
