We are using slipform in our chimney concrete pouring and an incident cause us to stop the work immediately, just to make it short ... we have a nasty cold joint. I went through ACI 546R (Concrete repair) and its like there so many choices, what is the most efficient way to repair this cold joint. the diameter of chimney is 15 meters and wall thickness is 0.50 meters. Thanks!
 
The main issue is compaction. You will have to back off until you can remove all hardened but uncompacted concrete, so that a clean surface can be provided to restart.
 
Since this is a chimney and you presumably have significant concrete mass above the cold joint, you simply need to "seal" it and provide structural continuity. You might consider a high temperature epoxy injection, assuming you have higher than normal temperatures on the inside of the chimney.
