Hi,

What does the warning: "Coefficient ratio exceeds 10^8 - check results" mean?

This is what I would also like to know!

I suppose it is the ratio of the biggest to the smallest coefficient in the compliance matrix. But I'm not very sure of that. It's just a guess...

If your model has two very deferent materials, with large ratio of the Joung-Modulus, then the coefficient ratio should also be large.

I would also like to know, what the other people on this forum know about this.

Regards,
Alex

The model contains two materials and the Young's modulus are about the same. However, I'm doing a thermal-structural analysis and the thermal conductivities differ by a factor 4.

Cheers,
Pingen
