Coefficient of dry friction between bronze and stainless steel

We would like to know the value of the static and dynamic coefficients of dry friction between bronze and stainless steel. In our application the two sliding materials have a contact pressure of 20 MPa. The contact areas are machined surfaces.

Could you kindly supply us with your references if available.

The Dynamic Friction Co-Efficient for Steel agaist Bronze is 0.34 (Dry) 0.1732 (Greasy).

PS - Should have said that the figures quoted are for Phosphor Bronze.

With regard to the static friction - wrought iron against bronze quotes the same figures for sliding and static friction. Perhaps you can make the same assumption ?

Beware of galling between stainless steel and bronze. For example, 316 stainless and 660 bronze are verboten in applications I've worked on involving high pressure, slow speed. Check the relative hardnesses.
