We're analyzing old undocumented vessels against Codes that were in effect at the time of their construction. Can anyone tell me when ASME BPVC Sec VIII Div 2 was initially published?

There are good summaries of Code contents, and information about how to order, but no historical/revision information.

Section VIII was split into Div. 1 and Div. 2 beginning with the 1968 edition. Anything built to the '65 code (with addenda) was simply Section VIII (no Division).

I have a 1965 Section VIII code book that states this section was adapted in 1925; Revised 1927, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1934, 1935, 1937, 1940, 1943, 1946, 1949, 1950, 1952, 1956, 1959, 1962, 1965.
Don't know the later numbers.
