Code Breaks between EN12952 and EN13480 2

As I am very new to the world of the EN code, could someone please help me define the difference between EN12952 and EN13480? I work on HRSGs and I commonly work in ASME Section I, B31.1 and a little in B31.3. EN12952 seems to be equivalent to Sect I and EN13480 is similar to B31.1. Unfortunately, there appears to be some overlap. Should I just treat EN13480 as a supplement to EN12952? One of the main items that confuses me is under EN12952-1 "Scope", PG1.3 "Other plant equipment". Item 'd' states "all other equipment necessary for the operation of the boiler plant". As far as I'm concerned, all of the piping that I would normally consider to be B31.1 is "necessary for the operation of the boiler plant". As I'm studying this code solo, some outside opinions would be much welcomed. Thanks.

I would definitely treat EN13480 as a supplement only. For boilers EN12952 overrules EN13480. EN13480 covers (only) metallic industrial pipes. So it is more general.
