What type of coating is preferred for Stainless steel parts. Colour should be black only. We have done black oxide but that was failed in the salt fog test at 48 hrs.

Coatings will only exacerbate the problem. You need to look closely at your alloy selection. Consider duplex alloys like 2507.

Before talking about alloys what alloy did you use?
What was your coating?
It may be that 2205 would be an option.
On SS it will have to be an applied coating, not a surface reaction.
The oxidation ties up the Cr on the surface lowering corrosion resistance.
Any coating will lower corrosion resistance since it creates surface crevices.
Typically in SS people only change the surface finish for cosmetic reasons: matte (pickle or bead blast), semi-polish (usually 180 grit wet), or finer polishes.
