I've been asked to spearhead a quest for newer software for our Gage 2000 B&S CMM, which is currently running a dinosaur program called "Tutor for Windows" 3.3.2.
PC-DMIS looks like a viable candidate, but it has a hefty price tag.
I'm also looking at trading in the Gage 2000 for a new/used larger table with automation, (perhaps a CAD to CMM programming).
1.What'dya think our "fully operational" Gage 2000 should be worth as a trade in value? (A search on E-Bay led me to believe $8 - 9,000.00)
2. If we only went with a software upgrade, is there any other program out there like PC-DMIS, (functionally equivilent)without the hefty price tag?
