Are there any coatings that will remain flexible after application and serve as a gas barrier except to water vapor and other harmless gases?

There are a variety of polymers which are selective gas vapors for water or oxygen, and other gases. You need to know which gases you are seeking to exclude. Flexibility needs to be to what degree. Also the coating curing method will have tremendous impact, as will any other significant downstream processing issue. You can also put selective additives into a material which can slow down the migration of one gas or the other. In some cases you could even react the gas using catalysts. I would love to discuss this with you, but I need more details 718-926-3157.
