I have estimated the lower and upper flammability limits of a hydrocarbon gaseous mixture by summing the product of the pure component mole fraction and its respective flammability limit for each component; this was done for the lower and upper flammability range to yield mole weighted average lower and upper flammability limits. Can some one advise me if this calculation method is correct for estimating the lower and upper flammability limits for the hydrocarbon gaseous mixture?

Thank you for your help.
