What section of ACI controls for circular slurry diaphragm walls that function as a compression ring (no tension) from soil and water loads? Is it section 10 or Section 14 (walls). I am trying to determine the axial capacity of the wall per strength design. It looks like Section 14 is more conservative.

I would expect that this is something covered better in tunnelling texts and codes.

The code that you are referring to is mainly meant for building structures as far as I am aware.

I am not even sure how you would excavate a circular diaphragm wall. Have you considered spray concrete or a precast caisson?
