chrome plated 17-4 salt water corrosion test

I have a hydraulic cylinder rod that is chrome plated 17-4PH and used in a salt water environment. Would anyone know of any MIL-SPEC or ASTM test data, journals, reports etc. from a reputable source that have corrosion tested chrome plated 17-4PH for salt water spray or emersion?
