I HAVE TWO PRESSURE VESSELS TO FABRICATE FOR A DESALINATION PLANT WHICH REQUIRES 3MM CHLOROPRENE RUBBER LINING INSIDE.

WE ARE IN MIDDLE EAST REGION. CHLOROPRENE SEEMS TO BE A LEVEL 2B CARCINOGENIC IN NATURE. WILL WE FACE PROBLEMS IN IMPORTING THE RUBBER FOR LINING? DOES ANYBODY HAS DONE SIMILAR LINING IN GCC OR MIDDLE EAST REGION.?

WE ARE TAKING OPINIONS BEFORE GOING INTO THE MINISTRY FOR APPROVAL. IF IT IS CARCINOGEN, APPROACHING MINISTRY ITSELF WOULD COST US OUR RATINGS IN MINISTRY OF WORKS.

PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERTISE.

Chloroprene monomer, from which chloroprene rubber is made, is a very different chemical substance. The rubber you buy will need to be certified for use with potable water, as there are many ingredients that can be added to rubber that can make it unsuitable for use with drinking water.
