What reaction does heating domestic water have on chlorine levels.

I am interested in knowing if heating water reduces chlorine levels.
 
yes but you must keep it hot for a considerable time or even boil it <nbucska@pcperipherals.com>
 
Chlorine in water is mainly through the addition of hypochlorite. NaHOCl has a very weak Cl punch which normally withers of at ambient temp higher than 40 C.
