Chemical treatment standards for offshore platforms

Dear Colleagues

I have been assigned with a chemical treatment scope of work as a consultant for an offshore platform.I need to know if there are:

1.standards related to this sort of practice,
2. how can I get what could be the particular acid(alkaline) solutions required for this cleaning practice

I do appreciate your kind input and advice.
