I am in need of the following; I will mix two substances which are in separate chambers, and in fluid state up to 200°C preferrably. When the two substances come together they will produce gas at high pressure. I want the reaction to produce at least 20-30 bar. What limitations are there for temperature? which options do I have? Also, the chemaicals or substances must not be explosive or very toxic, that will require precations e.g. offshore or in a helicopter. The reaction must not produce very high temperature, the reaction can therefore go very slowly...

Anyone up for the challenge?

No, closed chamber pressure rated... How much potential is it in "baking soda". When does the raection stop?
 
Why not use those little pellets that are in air bags?
 
I don't understand, there are no pellets in airbags, are there? Besides, the "explosive" reaction producing gas is to fast for my application, and produces much heat (I think?!). If I could get the reaction to be slower I think this could be an alternative. I have also though about monopropellant like hydrogen peroxide through silver screen, but this also produces a lot of heat...
