For a wastewater treatment process I have to ensure a value of 50mg/l chemical oxygen demand. Treatment involves particulate filter and carbon filter. Will this affect the COD?

There's no way to answer your question.

It might reduce the COD, it might not. It depends what is creating the COD in your wastewater and will filtration and treatment with activated carbon reduce that material.

Have you considered doing lab testing?
