Dear respected members,

your clarification regarding the phrase "full scale" in the following paragraph taken from ASTM A 370 – 03a, would be much more appreciated.

22.2.2.1 For ?at material less than 7?16 in. (11 mm) thick, or when the absorbed energy is expected to exceed 80% of full scale, use standard subsize test specimens.
