Looking to eliminate manway charge of Bisphenol A prill charge operation (BPA - low ignition energy, low conductivity, high explosion constant, high peak pressure - note particle size dist 35% less than 400 micron). I receive BPA in 50 lb bags - charge ~30 bags/batch to a grounded/inert stainless steel reactor. I would like to use a rotary airlock valve w/ N2 inerting on charge chute however this is not feasible at this time. Does anyone have any experince with this, or other high explosion class solids? Thank you.
