Hi,

I'm a student and was assigned to simulate a gearbox.

I was wondering if I could change the amount of tooth from a gear, or do I allways have to start over???

Thanks for your reply Adicar01,

I've seen them, there very useful!

But is it possible to change the amount of teeth?

Presumably you've patterned the teeth (or cuts).

If so just click on one of the pattern instances (i.e. not the pattern leader) and modify the number of instances.

Then modify the angle between instances to match the number of teeth.

A useful trick is to type a string for this angle e.g. 360/30 for 30t, 360/45 for 45t etc.

You can also write a relation to automatically compute this angle.

Thank you very much for your reply, this will speed things up

:-) !

Hi dougr,

Is probably one error. maybe you are open to some private email ?

Go into setup-parameters and pick the one there you want to change..
