Changing shell thickness through an analysis

Hi,
Do you know any approach or subroutine to modify the thickness of shell elements (3d shell) through a nonlinear analysis?
I am using the implicit solver.
Thank you.

Maybe the UGENS subroutine could help you with this (check its description in Abaqus documentation) but, depending on what you want to model, there might be easier workarounds, not necessarily involving shell elements.
