Changing Section segments from 90 degrees 1

I am new to UG and have searched everywhere I can think of to modify the default section segment from 90 degrees to a value I can enter. My problem is trying to take a section view through a center of a hole at 90 degrees, then through a slot that is angled at 3 degrees to get a true interior dimension, then back out through the bottom of the housing. I have tried to tweek each segment by moving them in the Section line edit mode. I can almost get the line to center on the slot's centerline but it is not exact. I hope I have expalined this well enough. None of my drafting notes seems to have listed anything I can use.

I think that perhaps you might be better served looking at one of the Folded/Unfolded Section View options found at...

Insert -> View -> ...

If you theoretically drew a circle and put the hole on the circle's radius at 90° (12 o'clock?) and make the center of the circle vertically straight down from that hole, does the slot's centerline angle of 3° go through the center of the theoretical circle? If so, then you might want a revolved section cut.

nkwheelguy, If I follow you, you are correct in that the center of the slot does goes thru the theoretical circle's center. I think I was making the mistake of following what someone else did on the print. It turns out to be a simple, one line cut at an angle thru the "circle" and the angled slot, then making an auxiliary section view from there. My dimensions are in true size and came out correctly. It took me several trials on trying to get my dims correct while moving one segment at a time. The closer I got to a one line segment cut, the closer my dimension for the slot width became real. I appreciate all the help as I know that it is very hard to describe the actually circumstances. I will have to learn how to attach a jpg for furture ?s.

Glad you got it figured out. Once you deal with a few revolved sections, you'll get the hang of it. Be sure to experiment with steps in revolved sections as well (arcs that jump from one cutting leg or plane to another on a different angle).
