I'm importing Solid Edge .PAR and .PSM files directly into Solidworks, the problem is that when they open, the planes are not correct. I'd like to "reassign" the planes so as to orient the model as I originally intended.

Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

This can be done by re-positioning and constraining the sketches onto &/or within the SW ref planes. If it is a complex part this can sometimes be a PITA, but it can be done.

Another way is to create the required Co-ordinate System within each part and then save each as a parasolid using the Options to specify the new CS. When opened, the parasolid file will need to be run through the Feature Recognition module to recreate the features.

"Move/Copy Body" was indeed what I was looking for - couldn't have been simpler. Thanks CorBlimeyLimey and SBaugh.
