Good afternoon,
I would like to put a question about drawings. I there a possibility to change part in a drawing (without using configurations)?
Example: I have an assembly that contains 15 types of distance rings (simply pipe, with a feather pocket). Now a wont to make a drawing template with all dimensions tolerances and so on. Then use this drawing for all parts of same type.
Until now, I have to make same operations fifteen times for each part..
One solution is to count with this with putting part in assembly. (insert part with own opened drawing, than save as.. , but it is pretty complicated)

Thanks very much for your answer.

sewy,
Were all of your parts created from the same original part? In other words, did you saveas the original part with a new name then change some dimensions in the new part?

If so, use windows explorer to copy the .slddrw file and then rename it. The within SolidWorks, go to file>open> and then browse to find your new drawing file. Before clicking open, there is a "references" button in the lower right corner of the dialog box. Click on this button. In the "references" dialog, you will see a path to the old .sldprt file that the drawing is looking at. Double click on this path and browse for your new part. Finally click open and the new part will be referenced in the drawing. All of your dimensions will be updated according to the new sizes of the new part.
