Is there a way to create points from a coordinate system that is not the global one? I created a new one, inclined 45 deg in respect of the global and all my measurements are in respect of the 45 deg rotated coordinate system.

Thanks

In Abaqus/CAE there’s no option to create datum points based on local coordinate system. They are always defined with respect to global part or assembly CSYS. Take a look at the „Creating a datum point by entering its coordinates” chapter of the documentation (Abaqus/CAE guide).
