Is there a way that I can change the default font from "Fast Font - 127" when I am missing the fonts that my drawing requires and I can't get it.

Change Default font when fonts missing

Control-B View Attributes, uncheck Fast Font
Choose the font from the list that pops up when you enter text. There are four possible text entry methods in version 8...Word Processor, What You See Is What You Get, Dialog Box, and Key-In. You can change them by using the menus to get to Workspace | Preferences | Text.
