Hi folks
A compound avr (coils) as shown in attachment has a damaged coil.
Is possible to change it with an electric avr (self excitation)
What kind of re-wiring need ? Amplitude of need AVR ?

How about some more details on the generator end itself?

Best answer for what you have provided so far is "maybe".

I update AVR's quite often, but it does take some legwork to get it done right. Have you contacted the generator manufacturer for their recommendations?

Or have you approached one of the voltage regulator manufacturer's? Basler, ABB and Power-Tronics all have excellent technical staffs to help with retrofit opportunities.

You have shown us a picture of a transformer. Some AVRs can take line voltage and some can't. Yes, you may be able to bypass the transformer and use a line voltage AVR. You can also use external power to run your AVR. Neither seems to be the more cost effective option.
