Chain modelling?

Hi!
Please forgive me my stupid question..
How to start to model bike chain with purpose to animate it later ? :confused:
 
I recommend not modeling each link of the chain. Instead, just model the overall chain as a single part. (your time is better spent on on other design tasks)

For a Kinematic simulation, define a gear joint between the chain sprockets with the proper ratio based on the number of teeth.
 
this thread was interesting, would there be any chance of seeing the final result?
