CompoMan - I found your thread from quite a while ago enquiring about the cost of some carbon fibres. I was wondering if you found any luck with it.

I am also interesting in getting rough prices for M55J and T300, as well as E-Glass. I do not need very accurate figures, I just want to know the sort of magnitude and relative prices. Particularly whether M55J or T300 is the more expensive and possibly by how much?

Thanks!

M55J is probably more expensive than T300. A very wild guess is about 2X more.

Call the material suppliers (Toray, Hexcel, Cytec, etc) and ask them.

Thank you SW!

That is surprising, however. I did mention the wrong CFRP, it is actually T300J that I am interested in. I'm not sure if that changes anything?

I was under the impression that M55J was actually the cheaper. Are you quite sure about this? But I'll try to contact suppliers nonetheless.
