Could someone please let me know which material is most likely to find its way into the eventual production of ceramic cylinder blocks/heads?
Which properties needed of such ceramics have proven to be most difficult to solve?
It seems to me that a ceramic used for such an application needs to have high heat tolerance, minimal wear rate, and high shock absorbtion. If one of these requirements were to be removed from the design brief, how much easier would it be to find the correct material for the job?
Thank you.
