1-1/2" Control Valve (3" line) with Fisher Cavitrol III trim in crude service. Wanting to remove the cavitrol trim because of the crude service. 350 psid across the valve. Needing a way to prevent cavitation.
Thought was to add restriction orifice downstream of the control valve. Would (1) RO suffice? Would it be best to have half of the pressure drop taken at the control valve and the other half at the restriction orifice? Or take a much larger drop at the orifice?

Thanks in advance.
