Caustic Soda Cost

What is your cost/ton? How quickly does it need to react?Some municipal wastwater plants use magnesium hydroxide for acid neutralization, but I don't think there would be much of a price difference and it needs time to react since it's insoluable.

First, let's take a few steps back. What type of scrubber is being utilized? What is the gas(or stream) you are scrubbing?
As soon as I have more details I may be able to point you in the right direction to dramatically reduce your caustic costs. Also, where are you located?
