In CATIA V5 how do you project curves for a dwg to a plane in space. I used to know how to do it but have been using UG an forgot??

Welcome to V5, DRW2SPC does not exist anymore...
But as you might have notice, the tools available in a Drawing view are very similar to the one from the sketch workbench...
Copy the View from the tree and paste it in 3D, this will give you a sketch!
Sorry I do not know nothing about UG(LY)...
