Hi all, anyone here got experience on installation of Caterpillar asset iq? I've been adviced to order the asset iq group part number 519 7504, which includes fuel flow transducers, speed sensors, pressure and temp sensors. Just wanted to know if I only need to get the intake air temperature data is it optional for me to order just the temp sensor and omit all the other sensors?

What is your intention? Do you want to read intake air temp remotely? Do you want the ECM to have access to the number? Do you already have data aquisition and need to add the additional reading? Are you ready to spend $4800 to read intake air temp? I have experienced issues with their DAQ equipment not being isolated ground for marine installations.
Unrelated, are you also on a keel cooled tugboat where the cooling system was sized to a 2 knot currently and is grossly undersized as a result?
