Cast-In-Place Embed Plate with Studs design Spreadsheet

I was wondering if any of you could share any spreadsheet that you may have to design embed plate with studs for steel beam to concrete connection. Has anyone tried using other procedures other than D.3.3.4 (ductility controlling design) for seismic considerations? If I were to use D.3.3.5, how would I compute loads to ensure that plate or the beam yields before embed arrangement fails? I run into this problem all the time and more often than not, I end up designing for loads 2.5 times the actual because I am unable to ensure ductile failure. Any help with spreadsheets that you may have would help me. Thanks.
