I have completed scanning and have posted the complete Carnegie Pocket Companion, 1903 Edition. If you work early 20th century structures this can help.

In addition to information of Carnegie steel members from that time, there is other information such as:

Floor Designing practice, including assumed loading (starts on page 59)

Column Designing, including cast iron (starts on page 121)

Riveted Beams & Box Girders (starts on page 151)

Grillage Foundations (starts on page 163)

Wind Loading on Roofs (see page 173)

Designing with Rivets & Pins (starts on page 193)

Structural Steel Specifications (starts on page 219)

Thanks - nice of you to do that

Thanks,
I used the 1923 Carnegie PC when investigating a 1933 roof that utilised their wire mesh system for reinforcing the roof. It was a great help.
Thanks again.

An Engineering-Tips member, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has volunteered considerable time and skill to improve the quality of this .pdf version of Carnegie Pocket Companion - 1903. The pages have been cleaned, they can now be read / printed one-at-time, and the entire file is searchable using recent versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Many Thanks to This Member!
