I have been in the Automotive aftermarket industry for several years now (as a shop owner), and I am interested in producing my own custom carbon fiber parts. Does anyone know of any schools that would teach this process?

or if you think this would be too much time spent and just practicing would be best, what materials would I need to get started on making practice parts?

I guess I could start making flat pieces, then move to shapes.

I have played around with fiberglass, and understand that carbon fiber has the same basic procedure, however, since I have pretty much taught myself, I don't know if my techniques are correct, or not. Any advice? Thanks!

I also wanted to request some information on Carbon Kevlar. If the techniques are the same.

One other question I have, is that I have used the white fiberglass cloth (which looks pretty much like white carbon fiber), but this turns clear after the resin is applied. Why does this not happen to Carbon Fiber? I would love to be able to have a white carbon fiber product! Any advice on that as well?
